RE:think Energy Grants

The RE:think Energy scheme is on hold until further notice. Significant developments which affect the delivery as planned or otherwise will be announced here in due course. Please accept our apologies for this delay and rest assured that as soon as we are in a position to give you an update on its future we will do so.

The scheme only funds feasibility and specification studies that are specific to renewable energy.

You can apply for 50% of costs up to a maximum of £2,500, towards feasibility or specification studies. Grant aid cannot be used to cover VAT.  All claims must be net of VAT.

Expenditure incurred towards feasibility or specification study costs, prior to approval for funding, will not be accepted as part of the grant claim.

Your application must be approved before entering into any agreement with your preferred supplier.

There is also a range of complimentary funding sources for renewable energy projects, together with ways to minimise the initial cost.

Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECAs)

You can claim 100% tax relief in the first year through an ECA on specific renewable technology products.

Loans

Interest free loans are offered by The Carbon Trust for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
